The Housing Challenge in the West Midlands
Across the West Midlands — including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, and Walsall — the housing crisis continues to affect thousands of people. Many individuals and families are left vulnerable without safe or stable accommodation. Those who rely on benefits such as ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) or PIP (Personal Independence Payment) often face additional barriers in securing housing, making their situation even more challenging. Rising living costs and a shortage of affordable homes have left many struggling to find a place they can truly call home.
Homelessness, however, should never define a person’s future. At Savoy Housing Group, we support people across the West Midlands through our support into Transitional Housing Scheme, helping individuals take the first step toward stability. In Birmingham, we also provide Supported Accommodation for those who need structured, day-to-day housing support. Our role is to offer not only a safe roof, but also the guidance, dignity, and compassion needed to regain control and move toward a better future. Savoy Housing Group was founded with a clear purpose — to change the narrative of homelessness in the West Midlands. That’s why we offer two distinct forms of support: our support into Transitional Housing Scheme available across the West Midlands, and our Supported Accommodation based solely in Birmingham for individuals who require more structured daily support.
